Who We Are

We are a diverse group of people who have faced institutional betrayal from our schools and workplaces when we sought help to stop and address the impacts of harassment, discrimination, and violence. We are professionals in the Anti-Violence, DEI, Advocacy, Title IX, Human Resources, and Research fields. We are committed to growing our community, connecting with others who have had similar experiences and those who support us.

Our Story

Intersectional Acts emerged from a deep concern for the large numbers of diverse people facing intersecting forms of discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct and unnecessarily enduring additional institutional betrayal and secondary trauma when seeking support from their schools and workplaces.

We seek to address the secondary trauma resulting from inadequate support and the domino effect on education and career opportunities. Our programs and services aim to create lasting positive impact in the lives of multicultural people and systemic change within schools and workplaces across the United States.

For Community, By Community

We support individuals facing harassment and discrimination, especially those dealing with poly-victimization due to multiple marginalized identities. Our 'for community by community' approach involves multicultural individuals in all aspects, utilizing Praxis and Participatory Action Research (PAR) to operationalize a Margin-to-Center framework. While we welcome all to participate in and contribute to this work, we center the experiences and needs of individuals with two or more marginalized identities.

When you join the Intersectional Acts Community, you help us build and leverage the power of the collective to resist systemic oppression and violence, positively impact the lived experiences of multicultural people in schools and workplaces, and create systemic change.
